State Senator, Confederate veteran, lawyer, teacher at Salado College. Birthplace of Harris' grandson, famous World War II General, Walton Harris Walker. Home was built in 1866 of limestone quarried nearby. Mortar contains horsehair. Recorded Texas Historic Landmark, 1966.
