StoppingPoints.com Editorial on Farmington Baptist Church: | One of Mississippi's oldest churches. North of the church some 1/4 mile a site was cleared where settlers buried their dead, believed to be in the same location as the present day cemetery. The Farmington Baptist Church was believed to have served as a hospital during the Civil War. The Civil War took its toll on the membership of Farmington Baptist, dropping the number from 64 to less than half that number in 1866. Following the war, the church site was moved to the site formerly occupied by the school, adjacent to the cemetery. Location: Farmington Church Road, near Corinth, Mississippi.
