Philpsburg Manor, Sleepy Hollow, New York photo - picture in Sleepy Hollow, Westchester County, New York Philipsburg Manor House is a historic residence in the Upper Mills portion of the formerly extensive Colonial estate referred to as Philipsburg Manor. Along with a watermill and a trading site, the house is now operating as a museum by Historic Hudson Valley. It's located on Highway US 9 in Sleepy Hollow, New York. Although it was historically an English deed tract of property, it is listed by some authoritative sources as part of the patroonships of New Netherland since it incorporated a portion of that land that was previously owned by the Dutch colonialist, Jonkheer Adriaen van der Donck. |
