Executed by order of Santa Anna, April 25, 1843. Cowards die many times before their deaths. The valiant never taste of death but once.
Dr. Richard Fox Brenham
Killed at Salado, Mexico, Feb. 11, 1843
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Dedicated Sept. 18, 1933. This tomb covers the old tomb in which these remains were placed Sept 18, 1848. Erected through efforts of the citizens of Fayette County. (Stolz Memorials, La Grange, Tex.) |
