Fitzwilliam, captain in Confederate Army and plantation owner. House is called Wexford after town in Ireland where he was born. Home is still owned by the Fitzwilliam family. StoppingPoints.com Editorial on Aldridge-Fitzwilliam Home: | Wexford is reportedly no longer owned by the Fitzwilliam family, but instead now owned by Reid (a Bastrop bank executive) and Cindy Sharp of Bastrop. Also, the Texas State data incorrectly lists the location as off road 204, but it is actually located off 304. |
