Built 1873. One of first homes in Cooper (made county seat, 1870). Has original bois d'arc foundation blocks, curved stairwell, pine sills. Terrell (1843 - 1916) served in 9th Texas Regiment during Civil War. Became successful merchant after starting his business here in 1873. RTHL - 1965
